Error: The device has been disabled...(due to known or configuration problem).
Error:
The device has been disabled in the hardware. In order to use this device, you must re-enable the hardware. See your hardware documentation for details. (Code 29.)
Cause:
The error message can appear if there is a known problem with a PCI device or if a PCI device is not configured correctly. If it is a known problem with the device, it will be described in README.TXT in the Windows folder.
Solution:
Read the Readme.txt file in the Windows folder to see if it is a known problem. Check the configuration to make sure the settings are correct. Remove the device and refresh it on the PCI bus by letting Windows 95 reconfigure the hardware automatically. Refer to a qualified computer technician.
NOTE: If the following steps do not resolve the error message, contact the device manufacturer, a qualified computer technician, or next-level support.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'System' icon. (The 'System Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Device Manager' tab.
5) Select the PCI device that is causing the error message and click 'Remove'.
NOTE: This step will remove the software for the selected device from the current configuration.
6) Select the 'View Devices By Connection' radio button.

7) Double-click 'Plug and Play BIOS', select 'PCI bus', and click 'Refresh'.
NOTE: This step will automatically detect, configure, and place the PCI device back in 'Device Manager'.
8) To accept the changes, click 'OK'.
9) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to exit the 'Control Panel' window.
